flying car is now out

Maker of this car is Carl Dietrich by name, he is the chief executive and co-founder of Terrafugia, an aerospace company. Mr Carl has been working So hard so as just to bring consumers to the prospect of a practical flying car, envisioning a vehicle that does not require its operator to be a trained pilot. The company, announced the concept of TF-X, a four-seat, plug-in hybrid electric car that can do vertical take-offs and landings.

The advantage of this car is that the flying car operator won't need to have the
skills of a pilot to fly it

"Once you're flying, the actual operation of all the flight control surfaces is going to be computer controlled because, frankly, the computer can do it better than a pilot when its under system control
Mr Carl said "They don't really need to know those things because the computer is plugged in to a data network that automatically helps them plan the flight path, avoid other air traffic and air space restrictions, things of that nature,". He explains that operators would still have to make high-level, critical decisions, like determining whether it's safe to take off and land or approve the landingzone in advance.
"Anything that happens on the ground is controlled by the person on board(controller). Then for landing aid, the person is going to make a call," says Mr Carl.

microsoft surface pro tablet

Microsoft’s original Surface Pro isn’t even a year old before it was superseded by the Surface Pro 2. We have noticed the price reductions on the Surface Pro before — including cuts following the Surface Pro 2 release, but Best Buy is offering a massive discount of $400 on the original retail price, bringing the Surface Pro down to just $499.99. While the previous model doesn’t have an adjustable kickstand and the improved battery life with Intel’s Haswell chip, it’s still largely the same with slight difference. You get a 10.6-inch 1920 x 1080p display with a Wacom digitizer and stylus, along with 128GB of storage. Best Buy’s Surface Pro deal is only available today and tomorrow online and in stores, and if Windows isn’t your thing or too expensive then there’s also $100 off all Apple MacBooks.

new features;

Surface Pen
The Surface Pro supports pressure-sensitive style and it also comes with its own Surface Pen that magnetically attaches to the power connector to hold it in place when you're on the go. Writing and sketching feels natural, and the pen works far more responsively better than a capacitive iPad.

Touch Cover, Type Cover,: Killer accessories, all included
Using a combination of Type and Touch covers. The $130 Type Cover has a keyboard with depressible keys, The $120 Touch Cover is a membrane keyboard. Both weighs about half a pound, and double as screen covers for the Surface. Working with the included touch pad gets the job done, but you can just as  use the Surfaces touch screen or add a Bluetooth or U$B mouse or touc'h pad. I used the Microsoft Wedge Touch Mouse that Microsoft included with this review unit. It's expensive but small enough, and it pairs nicely with the Surface.

Display
The 10.6inches display is small, even especially for a full Windows laptop, but it's crisp and bright and has a full 1,920x1,080-pixel resolution HD. I found myself able to work on it easily, but I could also see that you did actually want to plug in a monitor for all day use. The good news is that the Surface Pro supports up to 2,560x1,440-pixel resolutionHD on an external display. Even if you didn't use another monitor, the Surface's IPS display is one of the best you can ever think of on a small Windows computer. Capacitive multitouch feels buttery smooth. That is the magic that made the I-products so much fun to use. The Surface Pro, in painting programs and a few other apps I tried, felt comfortable to navigate. It's not quite as brilliant as the iPad's Retina Display, but it feels like it's getting spiritually close.
You can connect the Surface to a larger monitor with ease. A built-in Mini DisplayPort carries audio and video, and with adapters (sold separately apart) you can switch over to VGA or HDMI if needed. Working in multimonitor mode operated exactly the same as you did expect on a Windows PC. It took some fiddling to get window sizing just right, but I found that working on my desk with the innocuou$ Surface on the side of my monitor as a PC $lash-second-screen was a bit of a treat.

Design: Boxy sexy-cool
Microsoft has done something awesomely right with the Surface Pro's overall design: it works exactly as advertised,  displaying extremely elegant, bordering on beautiful, sense of design. The industrial magnesium chassis of the Surface Pro feels so solid but isn't too heavy to hold in one hand. One notable difference between it and the slightly thinner previous version of the Surface is a hairline wraparound vent on the rear that works with internal fans to keep the more powerful CPU running smoothly.

Windows Phone on its way to pilot your car with "Cortana"

Microsoft has a home in the automotive world, but it doesn't have the abilities or ways to bring a phone's interface to your car's infotainment system, not at all -- there's no Windows Phone equivalent to Apple's Car-play. That might change in the future before long, tho...

The software wizards used a presentation at this week's Build conference to show off Windows in the Car, a conceptual platform that would adapt Windows Phone's apps and basic functions to in-vehicle interfaces in the future. Not surprisingly, the Mirror-Link-based tech looks like a cross between Microsoft's mobile and desktop interfaces; while you're running mobile apps, they get more on-screen buttons than usual to help you complete tasks faster and keep your eyes on the road. The software also focuses more on voice commands (Cortana), and it could eventually restrict complex app functions while you're driving. You might not get to add music to a playlist until you're parked, cause of the voice command system

it's not glaring how soon Windows in the Car might reach shipping vehicles, if at all. The crew in Redmond is testing code inside real cars and is comfortable with showing it to the public (will inform and post it here), so it's not just a pie-in-the-sky vision. However, the company also hasn't estimated availability or named car manufacturers that might be interested. While companies are working on Mirror-Link-ready cars (Toyota, Citroen, Honda, and VW) and head units (Pioneer and Alpine), that doesn't mean that you'll be controlling your Lumia with them as soon as they hit the streets. Given that Car Play vehicles won't be available until later this year, it won't be surprising if any Windows in the Car implementations arrive sometime after that
indeed we are expecting the future soon

Top new features of Windows Phone 8.1

The eye-catching feature of the Windows Phone 8.1 update is the introduction of the Cortana personal assistant for smartphones. However, this is exclusive to the US for now but there are still a number of important back-end and interface enhancements to the mobile OS for UK users. The forthcoming Lumia 630 will be the first launched device to be shipped with Windows Phone 8.1, followed by the 930 in late-June/July. There is no definitive date as to when existing Lumia devices will be updated to the Windows Phone 8.1 OS.Microsoft has also announced that Windows Phone 8.1 will start rolling out to Windows Phone 8 users in the next coming months. The Redmond giant also confirmed that the entire Nokia Lumia range will get OTA (over-the-air) update called Lumia Cyan, which will include Windows Phone 8.1 features and the new Lumia features into one update. We have broken down the eight biggest new features in the Windows Phone 8.1 including the ones that made it into the highlights - Cortana, Word Flow, Action Center and more personalised Start Screen.

Upgraded imaging experience
Microsoft takes the Windows Phone photography experience to the next level with the revamped Camera Roll, which gives quick access to clicked images, image tweaking tools and sharing capabilities.
The Smart Shots, Cinemagraphs, and Refocus photos options are directly accessible now from Camera Roll. Microsoft has also added the burst mode features to its Windows Phone 8.1 for clicking continuous images.
Creative Studio has been also added to the Camera Roll, which can use five new filters. The Nokia Storyteller has also received a slight addition with new video slideshow option that allows sharing via Facebook and Twitter.

Notifications ”Action Center
Microsoft has finally introduced a drop down list displaying the latest notifications and allows users to quickly toggle features like screen rotation, WI-Fi, , flight mode and Bluetooth icon. It is possible to customise these quick settings and choose exactly which noticiations  you want to show up in the Action Center. Windows Phone 8.1 also allows users to set a different alert, depending on the incoming notification.

Greater Start Screen personalization
Microsoft in an attempt to offer more customizable options to Windows Phone users, has added 'Start background' feature that allows users to add an image to the tiles on the Start screen of the device.
The feature will add an image of the user's choice to multiple tiles on the Start screen. Earlier, the Live Tiles on the Start screen on Windows Phone 8 were limited to solid colors. In 2013, Microsoft added the third Live Tile column on the Start screen of the Nokia Lumia 1520, and then left it to manufacturer adoption. Moreover, with the Windows Phone 8.1, the company has now added an extra column of Live Tiles on all screen sizes, with users able to choose whether to turn this feature on or off.

Universal search
When you search for anything on your phone, it will not only scour the Bing search engine but also look through your messages/emails for the relevant keywords.

Word Flow Keyboard
A big addition to the Windows Phone 8.1 has been the introduction of the Word Flow Keyboard, which is a Swype keyboard-like feature for Windows Phone users. The Word Flow Keyboard allows users to glide over the display and type words. Microsoft said 'indeed its the most intuitive smartphone keyboards' and learns from users writing style. Belfiore noted that the Word Flow Keyboard supports 16 languages, though has not named the languages supported. Belfiore even said that, thanks to Word Flow Keyboard, a kid was able break the Guinness World Record for fastest writing on a smartphone earlier held by Swype keyboard on a Samsung Galaxy S4.

Revamped Calendar The latest in-built Calendar app has undergone a redesign to look more like the desktop version. It now has a “week view” and weather is integrated at the top, and you can also tap on individual days to bring up more information about meetings.

Skype Integration
Microsoft has also added an upgraded Skype integration in Windows Phone devices with its latest Windows Phone 8.1. Now, the new Skype app for Windows Phone 8.1 comes with dialer integration that allows a user to switch a regular call to a Skype video call with a click of a button. Further, Skype has also been designed to work with Cortana, as users can setup Skype calls via the new voice-based virtual assistant.

Lock Screen themes
Microsoft has also introduced the new Lock Screen, which now comes with multiple Lock Screen themes. The onscreen keys for Search, Start and Back will now appear at the bottom of the display and this will mean that future Windows Phone 8.1-based devices will not feature the three capacitive buttons at the bottom of the front panel.

Other Updates
The 8.1 upgrade includes a host of other tweaks. The Calendar has been updated with a day view that lets you swipe horizontally to toggle between days( as stated above), as well as an improved week view. The keyboard, which already featured great predictive text, now includes a Swipe-like keyboard that predicts what your typing based on general swiping gestures on the touchscreen rather than just individual key taps. Microsoft also enhanced enterprise security features of the platform, making Windows Phone even more enticing for companies looking to abandon legacy Blackberry handsets (or just have a secure phone for business applications).

Google android tv "TECHNOLOGY"

Google's plans for the living room come into focus with a simple TV interface, apps, and games.
Every so often, some enterprising computer company will claim they’ve finally fixed the TV. We’ll watch as the idea flops because they fail to line up content deals or wind up delivering a confusing, haphazard experience. The documents note that while Android powers the box's experience, the interface offers a series of "cards" representing different channel options, including movies, shows, apps, and games. Users will be able to scroll through the interface with a four-way directional pad that contains "Enter", "Home", and "Back buttons", with the set-top box reportedly featuring optional game controllers.

What makes it a Google product is that Android TV will suggest those pieces of content on the homescreen itself. Much like on other set top boxes, each item will be like a miniature movie poster or book cover, and you’ll pick the one you want. Let's get it done people! Full Review Eliud Romo May 2, 2014 It isn't good when third party apps are better than the official app. (He was sorely wrong.). That was the story of Google TV, which became the laughing stock of the industry after Google chairman Eric Schmidt bet that it would ship on the majority of new televisions in 2012. They’ll talk about how they’ve turned a dumb terminal into a smart computing platform that extends your work and play to a gigantic screen.
